1980 Founding TechnoPipe GmbH
In 1980, Helga and Jürgen Fuss founded TechnoPipe GmbH as a trading company for technical accessories, especially for the power, chemical and petrochemical sectors.
Since then, the company has been involved in pigging technology and Hot-Tapping and Linestopping.
Since 1980 cooperation with E.H. Wachs®
The cooperation with the E.H. Wachs® company from Chicago, USA, has existed since the company was founded.
1998 spin-off IPSCO GmbH
Since 1998, the drilling and shutting off of pipelines in service has been managed as a spin-off in IPSCO Gesellschaft für Pipeline Service mbH. Initially as a joint venture.
1998 Move into new business premises
The company moves into its own business premises and workshop in the industrial estate at Kappengraben in Wehrheim North (Johann-Gutenberg-Strasse 5, 61273 Wehrheim, Hesse, Germany).
ISO 900 certified since 1999
Since 1999, both companies have been certified according to ISO 9001 ff. by TÜV SÜD. In the meantime, the distribution of products of long-standing partners, own products, the rental of special machines and the execution of on-site services have been included.
2006 Takeover of IPSCO GmbH
In 2006, TechnoPipe GmbH was able to take over all shares in IPSCO GmbH from the original joint venture, and since then we have been operating IPSCO GmbH as a fully-owned subsidiary.
2009 IPSCO as a registered trademark
IPSCO has been a registered trademark since 2009.
2015 „Appointment“ of Patrick Fuss as Managing Director
After joining the company in 1995 and spending 5 years between 2000 – 2005 as Managing Director of IPSCO (UK) Ltd. and as “Director for International Sales and Operations” for E.H. Wachs®, the son of the company founders, Patrick Fuss, took over the co-management of both companies in 2006 and since 2015 as sole Managing Director.
2015 Member Company of DVGW
IPSCO GmbH has been a member of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) since 2015.
2021 Cooperation with modec®
Since the end of 2021, we have been cooperating with the modec® in the sector of portable valve actuators, making use of our many years of experience in this field.
2022 Renewal of exclusive representation E.H. Wachs® in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Since April 2022, we have been the exclusive distribution partner of E.H. Wachs® for the countries of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Januar 2023 Excklusive rental partner E.H. Wachs® Central Europe
Since January 2023, we are the exclusive rental partner of E.H. Wachs® for Central Europe.
Februar 2023 Award of the Certificate of Honour for the 25th anniversary of IPSCO GmbH
In February 2023, IPSCO GmbH was awarded with the Certificate of Honour on the occasion of its 25th anniversary by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK, Frankfurt am Main).

Our tasks include maintenance, retrofitting, and modifications, whether in emergencies or for the construction of pipeline systems, long-distance gas pipelines and industrial plants.
Our clients include leading oil and gas companies, the chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as utilities in the gas/water/wastewater sectors.
We perform pipe cutting and weld preparation on pipes of several meters in diameter. Cutting and beveling tools allow synchronous, machining processing. Our mobile lathes, with their divisible rings that can be placed around the closed pipe, enable the safe cutting of pipelines. The drive is pneumatic or hydraulic, and in exceptional cases, electric. Vessel cuts, longitudinal cuts, and axial pipe machining are welcome challenges for us.
We own and operate the complete range of equipment available on the market for hot tapping, line stopping, and stopple operations under operating conditions. Additionally, we provide both equipment and accessories for the aforementioned services, as well as repair couplings in accordance with GasHDLtgVO.
Our on-site services are available around the clock, 365 days a year, worldwide. We provide economically feasible solutions for your projects without having to shut down or interrupt critical processes.
We design, develop, and manufacture both standard and custom pipe fittings and equipment for you. Our expertise ensures our customers that we can handle any pressure, temperature, or size-related issue.
Safety is paramount for us, which is why we regularly train our employees in practical and theoretical aspects, both internally and externally. In this regard, we would like to highlight that our on-site employees have been SCC-certified for over 10 years.
In addition to our on-site services, we also offer an extensive range of supply and rental services:
This includes the rental of on-site machining machines from E.H. Wachs®, such as the LCSF, MDSF, Trav-L-Cutter, Guillotine, hydraulic units, and other accessories.
Since our inception, we have been working with E.H. Wachs®, and this partnership was recently renewed indefinitely in 2022, making us proud distributors of on-site machining machines, spare parts, and accessories.
Our supply and service range is complemented by the sale of portable gate valve grinding machines from modec®. We look forward to demonstrating our products at your facility.
The field of pigging technology has been an area of activity since our inception that continues to engage us. We provide consultation and supply specialty pigs, pig detectors, pig traps, and accessories.
